Who out there is a fangirl? *raises hand* I certainly am. Fangirling is something that snatches you up and never lets you go. Sometimes it’s awesome, and other times not so much. If you’re a fangirl, you can most definitely relate to these things. If not, you get to peek into the life of a fangirl!
Here is the internet definition of fangirl:
an obsessive female fan (usually of movies, comic books, or science fiction).
The shrieks, screams, and giddy laughter.
Is this familiar to anyone? 😉 Shrieks, screams, and giddy laughter are only part of how we fangirls express our emotions.
It happens everywhere.
We try to control it. We fail.
Fangirling happens everywhere.
Sometimes we feel like we’re on Cloud 9. Everything is going right: the characters are successful, the couple gets together…
…And sometimes not so much. We feel totally helpless as we flip through the pages, unable to help the characters in any way. The only thing we can do is cry, sob, and hope everything turns out OK.
OH the suffering.
Yes, we fangirls suffer greatly. But it is for a good cause, non? 😉
Shipping, my dear readers, is where fangirls are obsessed with a certain couple. We can’t help it. It just happens. We are obsessed.
When our favorite characters die.
AGH!!! How we suffer!!!
Fangirling is sometimes hard, and sometimes we suffer, but it is (most) always worth it in the end.
Are you a fangirl? What fandoms are you in?
