Camp Dolliwatha Week Six: Doll Tutu

Welcome back to camp!

Today we’re going to make a doll tutu.

-A stretched hair elastic

-Strips of tulle

Tip: Stretching the hair elastic over something big and round such as a large lid or desk lamp.

Step 1:

Thread your tulle through the hair elastic.

Step 2:

Fold the end of the tulle that you pulled through over the longer piece of tulle.

Step 3:

Pull the shorter piece of tulle through the hole and pull until it makes a knot.

Step 4:

Cut the long piece of tulle to match the short one.

Your tutu should look like this:

Step 5:

Continue knotting the tulle until you complete your way around the elastic.

Your tutu should look like this:

Step 6:

Hold the ends of the tutu together and trim the ends (if needed).

You’re done! Dress your doll in her best leotard and tights to prepare for a show!

Do you plan on making this craft? Email Loren up to three pictures to . She will include the photos in the weekly Camp Dolliwatha recap on Saturday!

I’m going to attach my photo entry for BIBPC on this post instead of creating a separate one for it. πŸ™‚

The category was BROKEN. This Bench in my fairy garden had a broken leg on it (you can see there is no leg in the bottom middle).

Story behind this photo: I was searching for something broken to photograph and while I was outside I thought of the bench that had recently gotten its leg broken off. Plus, it started with a B, so I had to photograph it!
