Write a story, poem, or whatever you prefer inspired by the prompts above.Β When you include a prompt, please highlight it and make it bold so it’s easier for me to find it.

YouΒ canΒ use prompts from previous challenges in your story, but youΒ will notΒ get extra points for it.

Regarding points:

I will be judging your stories based on if you get your story in on time, how many prompts you use, and most importantly – the quality of your writing. By quality, I mean how well the story flows, how well you weave in your prompts, andΒ overall how well your story is written. The quality of your story is going to get you the most points.

For bonus points, you can include your team’s writing utensil (for example – a pen) somewhere in your story. Make sure to let me know if you do!

Your stories are due by Midnight on Thursday, September 29th. When you’re done with your story, drop me a link in the comments.πŸ™‚

For those who don’t have a blog or don’t have time to write up a whole blog post, you can enter your story into the contact form below:

  1. LOVE LOVE these prompts!! :O πŸ˜€ Can I make the prompt that says ‘they say I’m a traitor, maybe I am, all I know is I did what I had to do’, into ‘they say I would have been a traitor, maybe I would have been..all I know, is I did what it made me do’? Or is that too far from the thing? I wouldn’t have to do it, I just thought that would fit for my ‘alone but together’ story I’m writing… πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€ Love those prompts!

  2. I started writing something, and then got a sudden, huge burst of inspiration!!! Yay for inspiration! These prompts are great! They push me to think more about my story’s plot to fit the prompts, which is really good! It seems to help me keep from doing something like, she had a problem, she fixed the problem, the end πŸ˜› πŸ˜„ . Now I just need to be careful not to write the whole rest of the story before getting the next prompts… πŸ˜„

  3. Oh, I just realized that one sentence in my story I sent you had a [blank] spot. The sentence was suppose to say this, “The man went on to tell her that apparently during a bombing further south down the coast, he had escaped and swam his way back home.” Sorry bout that. I forgot to edit that part before I turned it in.
